Coaching Staff Addition!
CJ Cooper

 

Spokane Soccer Club is pleased to announce a new addition to our coaching staff, CJ Cooper.  CJ is currently the women’s goalkeeper coach at Gonzaga University. CJ has been doing Spokane Soccer Club's Goalkeeper training the last few months and will be doing individual keeper training through the Elite Soccer Academy. CJ has played and has coached at the NCAA Division I level.

CJ played goalkeeper for numerous years playing on both the State team and the USYS Regional Team. CJ played collegiately at NCAA Division I UC Irvine. He was a four year starter at UCI and was 1st team All Big West and in 2002 Goalkeeper of the Year.

CJ has coached at all levels of the soccer spectrum. He is a lead camp instructor for Team Soccer Direct and currently the women's Goalkeeper coach at Gonzaga University. CJ was the goalkeeper coach for CR Soccer Club in California where he helped develop keepers to NAIA, NCAA Div. III, II and I schools. He was the Mater Dei High School Goalkeeper Coach helping sending on numerous players to the college ranks. CJ has also been the goalkeeper coach for the NCAA Division II, University of Hawaii Hilo, for both the men's and women's programs. While in Hawaii, CJ also helped the Hawaii ODP state team program, as goalkeeper coach and with field sessions.

Spokane Soccer Club is extremely excited to have CJ as one of our staff members. With the addition of CJ, SSC has again added another individual to our already qualified staff. Adding CJ gives SSC, bar none, the highest qualified staff of goalkeeper coaches, and yet again adds to our already highest qualified coaching staff in the area. All of SSC is thrilled to have CJ apart of our club.
