A hot summer of tournaments! SSC teams went to different tournaments throughout Oregon and Washington and some of the SSC teams came home with hardware!
Spokane Cup was held July 12-13 at Plantes Ferry. GU13 SSC Elite team coached by Austin Bauman took home the first place trophy. Defeating in the championship game GU12 SSC Elite team coached by Eric Bowton. The GU19 SSC Falcons team coached by Jeff Hohenthal took home the first place trophy as well!
King of the Hill Classic, two of SSC Elite teams participated. The GU12 SSC Elite team coached by Angela Dietzen had a great run and lost in a tough semifinal. The GU11 SSC JR Elite team coached by Jason Bellefeuille took home the first place trophy!
BU18 SSC Falcons (coached by Rob Walter) defeat South Kitsap Elite en route to the U-18 boys championship in Tumwater over the weekend. The team placed 2nd in their division then came back in the championship game in overtime for a 1-0 win to take the crown. These games were the first time the team has played with about half the players being new to the team. Congratulations Guys!
At the LOSC Nike Cup the BU14 coached by James Jasso finished second. Playing in a hard fought emotional final, only to just come up a bit short. What an accomplishment for the boys to go all the way to Oregon and do so well!
On August 1-3 SSC brought home four trophies from the River City Cup. Second place trophy in the Gold bracket from the GU18 team coached by Jeff Hohenthal and three first place trophies! BU17 SSC Falcons coached by Jerry Knowles took home the silver first place! BU15 SSC Elite took home first place! BU11 SSC JR Elite coached by Dan Reidt took home first place.
Way to go all teams during the summer!!!
