Red Soccer
U12-U19 Boys and Girls

Red level play for Spokane Soccer Club is a step up from Select Soccer. Each team will have a professional coach. Red level training is almost year round. Players go through a tryout process to play for SSC Red teams. SSC’s professional staff and the professional coach of each particular red team help select the players at the tryout.

Red Soccer starts at U12 and continues on to U19.

Tournament schedule is team based and with input from club Director. Please check with the coach before tryouts. Practices typically consist of twice to three times a week. The practices in the summer are determined upon tournament schedule. For the Winter season the option of Futsal and Indoor are available.

The names of all Red teams are SSC Elite (Gender) (Age) Red - as an example SSC Elite B96 Red

Participants:

  • Any U12-U19 boy or girl player wishing to play at a competitive level a little higher than select level of play and wish to develop their soccer and life skills in a fun, positive atmosphere.

Cost

There are two main costs associated with the red program: Team Cost and Club Cost.

Team Cost:

  • $150 - is the association fee that covers field usage, referee, secondary insurance, risk management checks etc. This fee covers both Fall and Spring season. This cost can vary a few dollars based upon the number of players. For teams only playing one season this fee would be slightly less (ie; high school boys or girls.)
  • Tournaments and leagues can run about $25-$35 per tournament/league per player. Not every teams does tournaments. It is up to the team for the number of tournaments they would like to participate in. Most recreational teams do one tournament a year.
  • Indoor and Futsal are during the winter and are completely optional. These costs can vary based upon what facility and league the team wants to play in.
  • Coaches travel for out of town games and/or tournaments.
  • Team cost are typically the same for any team or club a player elects to play on.

 Club Cost:

  • $495 for U12-U19 - is the club cost. A curriculum for each team based upon the needs of each individual team. The learning of age appropriate development and goals. The club cost covers the daily operation of the club as well as a professional coach for your team. All SSC Elite Red teams will have a professional coach. Also includes Goalkeeper training during the season.

Cost Analysis:

  • Each player is paying roughly $2.6 an hour for professional instruction! One of the most cost effective, affordable, life learning, team building, competitive, and FUN ways for a child to play a sport and have professional instruction!
  • For professional coaching anywhere else locally, at other clubs typically the charge would be $65 to $95 per player, per month for professional instruction. Including club dues and eight months of training that would range between $670-$910 for just fees (no team or uniform fees.)
  • SSC maintains the ability to keep SSC Red training affordable and cost effective at $495 for the year, with donations and sponsorships throughout the community.
  • SSC will have the most qualified staff member instructing at that age, making it by far the best value.
