Premier Soccer

U10-U19 Boys and Girls

Premier soccer is the highest youth competitive level of play. Each team will have a professional coach. Premier level training is almost year round. Players go through a tryout process to play for SSC Elite Premier teams. SSC’s professional staff and the professional coach of each particular premier team helps select the players at the tryout.

Premier Soccer starts at U10 and continues on to U19.

Tournament schedule is team based with input from Club Director. Please check with the coach before tryouts. Practices typically consist of twice to three times a week. Academy for Premier teams is almost year round, and is included in the club dues. Academy goes on once a week all year, except in the summer, when the academy is twice a week during the day. Winter would also have optional Futsal and Indoor.

Any U10-U19 player wishing to play at the highest competitive level to develop their soccer and life skills in a fun, positive atmosphere.

Local and Statewide

Does the year-round academy cost extra? -- Absolutely not! Spokane Soccer Club is the only club that offers a year round academy for all of their premier players that is included in the club dues. The training is once a week in the fall, winter, and spring, and in the summer twice a week during the day. This would be an additional $750 for year-round academy! But with, SSC Premier the cost is already included!

What is the year round academy entail? -- In addition to the regular scheduled practices, the academy would include an extra day of academy training. In the Fall, Winter, and Spring this would be an additional day. In the Summer this would include two extra days of academy training during the day.

Who are the instructors for the Academy? -- The two lead instructors for the year round academy are Jason Cooper and Abbas Faridnia. Both are known throughout the community as the coaches that develop players. Both have sent players to represent USYS Region IV (top players in the whole western United States), professional players, and players that have played at all levels of collegiate soccer (from NCAA DIVISION I on down.)

Where will the games be played? -- At age U13 and older: Games for premier level play are played throughout the state of Washington. At a minimum half of the games will be held at Plantes Ferry Soccer Complex. Typically teams will travel 2-4 weekends across the State. At age U12 and below: teams will be competing in either the Inland Northwest Copa, District 6, or Northwest League. For league play the teams will be composed of other teams in the North Idaho and Eastern Washington areas.

Where will practices be? -- The Premier teams will practice typically at least nine-ten months out of the year. Practices will be held at either Barker High School or North Pines Junior High (possibility of other schools if needed.) Plantes Ferry is a possibility based upon the availability of those fields.
Who will the Premier teams be playing? -- SSC Premeir teams will be playing in either the PSPL Super/Championship, or the WYS State League. At the age level of U10-U12 SSC Elite teams will play in either the Inland Northwest COPA, District 6, or the Northwest League. For league play the teams will be composed of other premier teams throughout Washington.

What is the season duration? -- Typical season is twelve games in the Fall and ten games in the Spring. Number of games can vary slightly based upon what league the team plays in.

How many tournaments do Premier teams play in? -- Typically Premier teams play in two-three local tournaments a year and at least two out of town tournaments. Tournament schedule is typically established before tryouts, please check with coach to know the tournament schedule.

Coaching Staff

Spokane Soccer Club's Professional Staff

All SSC Elite Premier teams will have a Professional Coach.

Coaches:

SSC Elite Premier coaches must have at least a ’C’ license or equivalent. If a ’C’ license is attainable in 15 months that would qualify.
SSC will work with the coach on developing an age appropriate training program.
SSC will offer continued education for all coaches.
SSC will pay for all coaching licenses D and below and half for C and above.
SSC Elite Premier coach will work closely with the Red team coach at that age level.
SSC Elite Premier coach will work closely with the Academy Instructors.

There are no added fees (or monthly coaching dues) for having a professional coach, nor for the academy, it is included in the club dues.

Cost

There are two main costs associated with the premier program: Team Cost and Club Cost.

Team Cost:

$150 - is the association fee that covers field usage, referees, secondary insurance, risk management checks etc. This fee covers both Fall and Spring season. This cost can vary a few dollars based upon the number of players. For teams only playing one season this fee would be slightly less (ie; high school boys or girls.)
Tournaments and leagues can run about $25-$35 per tournament/league per player. It is up to the team for the number of tournaments they would like to participate in.
Indoor and Futsal are during the winter and are completely optional. These costs can vary based upon what facility and league the team wants to play in.
Coaches travel for out of town games and/or tournaments.
Team cost are typically the same for any Premier team or club a player elects to play on.

Club Cost:

$295 for Ages U10-U11 - $495 for age U12 - $695 for Ages U13-U19 is the club cost. A curriculum for each team based upon the needs of each individual team. The learning of age appropiate development and goals. The club cost covers the daily operation of the club as well as a professional coach for your team. All SSC Elite Premier teams will have a professional coach. Also includes Goalkeeper training during the season. YEAR ROUND ACADEMY IS INCLUDED!

Cost Analysis:

Each player is paying roughly $2.85 an hour for professional instruction! One of the most cost effective, affordable, life learning, team building, competitive, and FUN ways for a child to play a sport and have professional instruction!
For professional coaching anywhere else locally, at other clubs typically the charge would be $65 to $125 per player, per month for professional instruction. Counting club dues and at a minimum nine months of training that would range between $735-$1275 for just fees (no team or uniform fees.)
SSC maintains the ability to keep SSC Premier training affordable and cost effective at $695 for the year, with donations and sponsorships throughout the community.
SSC will have the most qualified staff member instructing at that age, making it by far the best value.
ACADEMY IS ALSO INCLUDED, to participate in a year long academy it would cost an additional $750. With SSC Premier it is included in your club dues.
Academy and team training is of the highest quality, and can not be duplicated anywhere else. The best training in town, with a staff and the two best academy trainers in Spokane.

Questions:

Are there any hidden costs for this program? -- Our program fees cover league and club training. The only extra costs would come from optional activites such as indoor soccer, futsal, off season academy training and tournaments. Uniform cost would be additional as well and would come up every two years. Warmups and backpacks are optional.

Am I required to pay all fees at once? -- No, Club cost can be spread out through the year. Team cost would be required at the beginning.

Is there a monthly trainer or coaches fee? -- No it is included in the club cost (dues.)

Do I need to pay for additional academy training? -- Absolutely not! Year long academy training is included in the SSC Elite Premier dues.

Is there any type of financial assistance available? -- Soccerships are available on a limited basis, based on need.
